Thanks for visiting Hartley Woodcraft. My name is Gary and I live in West Texas. I am the husband of a wonderful wife, father of three great children and a wood turner in the making. I came to West Texas in 1988 from Ketchikan, Alaska to go to college. Somehow I ended up staying here.

I have had a dream of turning bowls since the first time I saw one in a home town gallery. After years of dreaming and wishing, I finally bought a lathe a few years ago, some cheap tools and slapped a piece of mesquite on the lathe. The rest is history.
